Day 18: Exploring Marrakech

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast at your hotel, meet your local guide for a full-day tour, starting with the vibrant souk of the medina and the live Jemaa El-Fna square famous for its snake charmers, storytellers, and food stalls. Visit the Koutoubia Mosque, as the inside is for Muslims only. But its famous minaret is a sight to behold.

Next, visit the 19th century Bahia Palace and El Badi Palace ‶Palace of Wander or Brilliance″. Relax in the adjoining gardens, before carrying on to Ben Youssef Madrasa. The hard-to-miss Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa, and Museum of Moroccan Arts for more examples of traditional art and woodwork.

In the afternoon, we’ll take you to visit The Majorelle Gardens and Menara Gardens thus, Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest. In the late afternoon, when the Jemaa El-Fna square gets crowded and the sun sets behind the minaret of Koutoubia Mosque, it’s a great opportunity to explore the square. Just had the trip of a lifetime. First, our Your Guide Mohamed was amazing. He truly cared about us and our experiences and strived to keep us all happy. Everyone should be as lucky as us to have Mohamed as a guide. And we saw an experienced all aspects of life in Morocco from the marketplace to Sahara Desert. We were engaged at every opportunity from eating hot bread in the market place to riding camels to traditional dancing and music. Every moment was a "wow" moment. Thank you for a top-notch tour and guide.

Absolutely phenomenal! This was our very first group tour and Morocco Vacation Travel exceeded our expectations! We did not expect such phenomenal hotels, restaurants, tour sites, and more. So, thank you to MVT. But most importantly, we can not exclaim enough about Mohammed, our tour manager. He is knowledgeable, kind, organized, understanding, and patient. The perfect representative for MVT.

FAQ

Yes! Absolutely, this twenty-day Morocco tour from Casablanca is available every day.

The early bird catches the warm! As soon as you know your exact dates of your desert trip, contact us.

It depends on the period you’d like to experience Sahara Desert. The tents are well-equipped (enough blankets, hot water, and extra pillows).

  • Summer: (end of June – Augusts) light and soft clothes, such as scarves, skirts, slippers, skin protection, and sunglasses. Don’t forget your swimming suit.
  • Winter: (October – end of March) warm clothes, sneakers, extra jacket or coat.

The best time to do this 20-day Morocco adventure is all seasons of the year except summer sometimes. You might feel overwhelmed by sandstorms and high temperatures in Sahara desert.

The best way to experience Sahara desert is by camel ride. To enjoy this ancient transport, put comfortable clothes on, loose pants, sneakers and a small bag where you can put some stuff in, like a bottle of water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera if you have any.

So many Sahara desert adventures get confused between Sahara Desert of Erg Chigaga and Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. Both of them would take your breath away! But here is one thing to keep in mind, if you’re looking for a typical lifestyle and would like to stay away from touristy places, then Sahara Desert of Erg Chigaga means you. On the other hand, Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga attracts tons of visitors all over the world, due to its high clean oragned-sand dunes and luxury camps.
