Day 01: Arrival in Fes & Sightseeing tour with local guide

Welcome to Fes! you’ll be greeted by a Morocco Vacation Travel representative and transfer you to your hotel in the medina of Fes. Nicknamed the “Athens of Africa” for its UNESCO World Heritage Medina, which is home to holy shrines, religious schools, the old Jewish quarter and Synagogue, and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, which is the oldest continuously functioning university in the world. 10-Day Itinerary Morocco Vacation Travel will start with a sightseeing tour with a local guide in the Medina. Visit the Royal Palace, old Jewish Quarter, and Synagogue.

The Medina of Fes contains some beautiful sights that Morocco has to offer. Day 02: Fes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen

Today, Drive north to the blue city of Chefchaouen via the Roman ruins of Volubilis. The ruins are beautifully preserved here and it’s easy to believe you have stepped into the 2nd or 3rd century. Continue to Chefchaouen over the Riff Mountains.

Upon our arrival to Chefchaouen, or the “blue city”, which is arguably one of the prettiest places in Morocco. After checking into your hotel surrounded by blue and white-washed buildings. Take an orientation walk through the medina of Chefchaouen wandering around, finding your small typical souvenir and some fabulous spots for pictures.

Day 03: Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca

Meet your driver and head west toward Casablanca. the largest city in Morocco. After a long drive – 4 hours approximately, we will get to Rabat: The current Moroccan capital. Rabat is a perfect mixture of old and new, as the home of the Moroccan government, and a densely populated and active Medina (old city). Take a gentle walk through the ancient Tower of Hassan, then pay a visit to the lovely Kasbah of Oudayas beside the Atlantic Ocean. dating from the 10th to 15th century Almohad and Merenid dynasties. Day 04: Casablanca sightseeing tour - Marrakech

After enjoying a relaxing breakfast in the modern coastal city of Casablanca, we’ll take you to pay a visit to one of the most impressive sites in Casablanca. The relatively modern and monumental Hassan II Mosque. Inaugurated in 1993, it sits on an outcrop jutting into the Atlantic and offers breathtaking views. It has a 690-foot (210 m) minaret—the tallest structure in Morocco and the tallest minaret in the world. What makes this mosque unique is that it is one of the few mosques in the country that non-Muslims are permitted to enter.

After joining a guided tour and appreciating the fine examples of Moroccan and Islamic artisanship. Day 05: Marrakech sightseeing tour

Good morning! Marrakech was once an important trading capital for Atlas mountain tribes and remains an exciting former imperial city. Begin exploring Marrakech’s ancient medina, starting with the Koutoubia Mosque and vibrant Jamaa El-Fna. Next, admire the two famous and ancient palaces in the Medina, Bahia Palace and El Badi Palace. then, Indulge your senses as you explore the complicated labyrinth of souks, tucked behind ordinary restaurants and shops. Check out Souk el Attarin, Souk Chouari, and Souk Smatafor a selection of spices, woodwork, and babouche “traditional Moroccan slippers”. End at the 16th-century Ben Youssef Madrasa Islamic school to appreciate the carved cedar ceilings, zellij “intricate tile work”, and Islamic calligraphy. Day 06: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Kalaat M'goun - Dades Gorge

Leave the busy city behind and head east toward the desert, ascending the High Atlas mountains. Along the way, we will pass many Berber villages—made up of traditional mud-brick buildings. Prior to getting to the highest point on the Atlas Mountains (2260 m above sea level), we’ll stop at the women’s cooperative of Argan oil and discover how the local women extract the precious oil from the argan nut to make oil used in the health, food, and cosmetic industries. Follow the winding road to the Tizi n’Tichka pass and stop to appreciate the panoramic view.

Get to the fertile village of Ait Ben Haddou in the afternoon – Famous for its old dramatic kasbah in Morocco. Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. Additionally, it’s a great location for numerous films including Lawrence of Arabia, GOT, gladiator, and more. After exploring the kasbah and having lunch, continue east, traveling through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs”, many in disrepair as they’re constructed of pisé mud (rammed earth). As you head toward Dades Gorge, you will pass many small towns where you can see traditional farming methods in use. Be on the lookout for nomads tending to their animals as you make your way through fragrant Kalaat M’gouna, the “Valley of the Roses”. You’ll eventually arrive in Dades Gorge. Check into your hotel overlooking the Rose Valley.

Day 07: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

Your 10-day Morocco vacation itinerary will be totally different and of course, you’ll love it. The Sahara desert awaits you. Today embark on a journey toward the Sahara desert of Merzouga, where you’ll spend an unforgettable night of this 8-day Morocco vacation and experience the camel ride as well. After a short drive, we reach Tinghir or Tinerhi, this town is home to the Jewish quarter and Synagogues and is famous for its Gorge, which is called Todra Gorge. Take a gentle walk under the 300-meter cliff before continuing our leisure journey toward the Sahara.

 After a traditional feast in a local restaurant on the way, reach Merzouga in the afternoon. Hop on your camel through the sand dunes toward your feature stay accommodation with an experienced camel for approximately 1 hour with a break on the high dune to enjoy the sunset that might be the best sunset ever in your life. Get to the camp. You will be greeted with a cup of mint tea, enjoy the nomad hospitality, and a traditional feast under the sky jeweled with millions of stars. Followed by live local music around an open fire.

Day 08: Merzouga sightseeing tour

Today you will experience everything that the Sahara desert has to offer. On an exuberant four-wheel drive tour of the desert and surrounding areas, Learn more about the Gnaoua culture, music, and food that is unique to this part of the world. Explore mines filled with fossils found in this ancient place, and know the lifestyle of the desert nomads.

Later on, we’ll make our way toward the village of Hassilabied and the oases of Safsaf. In the afternoon, as the sun cools, why you don’t explore the Sahara desert in a different way? experience another desert activity such as ATV quad. It is pretty easy to drive and funny. On the other hand, you can embark on a camel trek again into the sand dunes nearby and get back to your hotel after the sun sets down at no charge.

Day 09: Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - High Atlas Mountains - Ifrane - Fes

Bid farewell to the Sahara desert and venture toward Fes the “Oldest city in Morocco”. The journey will take you over the Middle Atlas mountains. Before we reach Midelt for lunch we will stop in Ziz Valley, known for its palm trees and hidden oases. Admire the natural landscape over the canyon full of palm trees. After a long drive from the Sahara desert to Fes, we’ll stop in Cedar forest in the middle of Atlas Mountain – the largest forest in Morocco – where you may well see Barbary apes. Afterward, travel via the village of Ifrane, a beautiful mountainous village, referred to as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. Get to your hotel in Fes in the late afternoon.

The prices of our tours depend on the packages you select(Splurge, Mid-range, or Don’t break the bank accommodations), the number of travelers on your journey, and the season of your travel.

* All prices are in Euro, US Dollars, Pounds, or Moroccan Dirhams, per person. There is an additional 10% fee for tours including the dates between Dec.20 – Jan.5(Peak Season). For single rooms, a single supplement fee will be applied.

For the bookings of our tours, we kindly request a small deposit of 20% of the total price to be sent to our bank account, Paypal or Wise account. The balance is to be paid to your driver/guide at the meeting.

Although most of the planning and preparation is taken care of for you, there are still a few things you should know and some details you should take care of to ensure your comfort, safety and peace of mind. Please review the following information before your departure to ensure that any surprises along the way will only be pleasant ones.

  • During the booking process please let us know if you have any food restrictions or allergies.

  • Since lunches are not included, your guide will suggest restaurants where the food is tasty and fresh in order not to get sick. However, if you have a particular restaurant in mind. Inform your guide to accommodate your choices. On the other hand, based on his experiences, he will be glad to assist you whether their service and meals are marvelous.

  • Alternatively, your driver will make frequent stops along the way, especially in breathtaking places. This tour is flexible, if you recognize a worthy place to stop in, feel free to ask your gently driver.

  • Respect tour departures times to avoid delay and loss of sightseeing opportunities. If necessary, let your guide and driver know.

    For the benefit of all tour participants, we ask tour members to be considerate of their fellow travelers in the following ways:

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or “drone” technology has quickly become affordable and is increasingly popular with recreational users. While some countries have clear, established drone laws, others do not, or existing regulations are undergoing review and change. Travelers who wish to bring a drone on their trip are responsible to research and abide by the laws and regulations, as well as to check with their airline(s) regarding their rules for transporting drones. Please note that tours are unable to extend the length of scheduled visits and stops to accommodate use of drones. If you’re coming with your drone, let us know in advance to schedule the time for it.

  • Ramadan may make your trip excruciating, due to most of the restaurants and shops would be closed. And alcohol beverages will not be served in restaurants and hard to find.
  • Our guides are fluent in languages, and they are happy to share all what they have known so far, if you’d like skip or add an activity to your daily itinerary feel free to ask your guide.
  • During your stay in Sahara Desert (desert camp) your luggage will be transferred directly and safely to your camp.
  • Children under 5 years old are free of charge. 6 – 8 (- 70 %). 10 years old is considered to be an adult.
