Day 01: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Kalaat M'gouna - Dades Gorge
Your 4-day desert trip begins right away after breaking your fast at your hotel in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas Mountains. While the drive to our next destination is long, the journey is not one you’ll want to close your eyes on. With frequent stops and exquisite views around every corner, this drive is one of the shortest to the Sahara desert and the loveliest in Morocco.
After following the winding road to the Tizi n’Tichka pass, get to the fertile village of Ait Ben Haddou in the afternoon – Famous for its old dramatic kasbah in Morocco. Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. Additionally, it’s a great location for numerous films including Lawrence of Arabia, GOT, gladiator, and more.
From there, continue east, traveling through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs”, many in disrepair as they’re constructed of pisé mud (rammed earth). As you head toward Dades Gorge, you will pass many small towns where you can see traditional farming methods in use. Be on the lookout for nomads tending to their animals as you make your way through fragrant Kalaat M’gouna, the “Valley of the Roses”. You’ll eventually arrive in Dades Gorge. Check into your hotel overlooking the Rose Valley.

Day 02: Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga
From Dades Gorge to Sahara desert, through the rural villages and Todra Gorge. Your camera won’t get much rest today! This region of Morocco is home to dramatic slot canyons, picturesque river valleys, and towering mountains. Prepare for an indrawn breath of awe as every turn reveals new sights in the spectacular Todra Gorge. take a gentle walk under the red cliff of Toudra Gorge. A massive trench that rises over 300 meters to form one of the most dramatic and spectacular natural sights in Morocco. Many people come to enjoy their preferred sport here.
After a traditional feast in a local restaurant on the way, reach Merzouga in the afternoon. Hop on your camel and cross the sand dunes toward your feature stay accommodation with an experienced camel for approximately 1 hour with a break on a high dune to enjoy the sunset that might be the best sunset ever in your life. Get to the camp, enjoy the nomad hospitality and a traditional feast under the sky jeweled with millions of stars. Followed by live local music around an open fire.

Day 03: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate
Today you will drive back farther west to the popular filming location of Ouarzazate. Some popular film credits include Gladiator, GOT, Kingdom Of Heaven, and much more. The first stop after the Sahara desert will be in Rissani. From there, drive through umbrella-shaped trees of the acacia forests before reaching Alnif for lunch. Continue on through the Draa Valley, dense with date palmeries, and stop in Tamnougalt Kasbah before reaching Ouarzazate in the late afternoon.

Day 04: Ouarzazate - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After breaking your fast, we’ll visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate before setting off for Marrakech. Along the way, we’ll visit Telouet Kasbah or the Palace of Glaoui. It’s located along the former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. The Kasbah was the seat of the El Glaoui family’s power.
