Detailed itinerary Sahara travel in 3 day:
Day 01: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - High Atlas Mountains - Ziz Valley - Merzouga
From Fes, we will begin our ascent across the Middle Atlas Mountains. While the drive to our next destination is long, the journey is not one you’ll want to close your eyes on. With frequent stops and exquisite views around every corner, this drive is one of the loveliest in Morocco. Stop in Ifrane city known as(the Switzerland of Morocco) the architecture and the weather are extremely gorgeous. For a while in Ifrane, Continue to Michlefen through the Cedar forest largest and famous jungle in Morocco. Where we may well see the barbarian apes. Then, continue our journey heading toward Midelt along the spectacular hills of the Middle Atlas Mountains where we may well see some shepherds herding their animals.
After lunch in a local restaurant. We will cross the Atlas Mountains and appreciate the beauty of the natural landscape along the way. Once we reach Errachidia city, we will make a quick stop in Ziz Zalley(the second largest river in Morocco) to admire its panoramic views over the Ziz Canyon full of palm trees before we get to Sahara Desert.
Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. After a nap, Mount your camels through the sand dunes toward your feature stay accommodation with an experienced camel for approximately 1 hour with a break on the high dune to enjoy the sunset that might be the best sunset ever in your life. Get to the camp. You will be greeted with a cup of mint tea, enjoy the nomad hospitality, and a traditional feast under the sky jeweled with millions of stars. Followed by live local music around an open fire.

Day 02: Merzouga - Exploring Area
Good morning! Well, you are in Sahara desert and that means, it’s a new day and time for a new adventure. Wake up early to enjoy the sun coming out of nowhere on a high sand dune nearby. We definitely recommend that. After breakfast. Optionally, you will trek back to the village of Merzouga. Set off on an adventure on an off-roading vehicle to explore one of the most impressive places in Merzouga’s village.
Stop in Khamliya, a small village on the edge of the orange-colored Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. Known for the Gnaoua people. Originally slaves were brought from Sudan. They are known for their distinctive style of dancing and music. For lunch at the local restaurant nearby. We will get to see how the local specialty dish of pizza berber is made.
Then, we will cross the sand dunes to the nomadic Berber families. Where many families still practice their lifestyle in the wildlife under goat fur tents. Feel free to join them in order to learn more about their culture, you’ll be amazed by their hospitality. In the afternoon, we will visit Merzouga Lake or Lac Dayet Srji as it attracts not only visitors, but also a wide variety of birds such as flamingos, ducks, and doves. Afterward, we will take you to your hotel in Merzouga. Typical dinner followed by live Berber music.

Day 03: Merzouga - Erfoud - Ziz Valley - High Atlas Mountains - Ifrane - Fes
Today, after breaking your fast, it’s time to Farewell the Sahara desert and hit the road back to Fez city. Passing through Rissani and Erfoud. Rissani is the ancient capital of Tafilalt and the foundation of the Alaouit dynasty. Erfoud(date’s village). Known for its annual festival.
Continue our journey along the spectacular Ziz Valley. Once we get to Midelt city, time permitting, we may have a chance to visit some fossil factories. After having lunch at a local restaurant and taking a nap. We will head to Fez through the Cedar Forest on a different road called Michlifn. Where many snowboarders come to enjoy their preferred sport and where we will catch some apes as well before we get back to your accommodation in Fez where our service and desert tour from Fes ends.

For the bookings of our tours, we kindly request a small deposit of 20% of the total price to be sent to our bank account, Paypal or Wise account. The balance is to be paid to your driver/guide at the meeting.

During the booking process please let us know if you have any food restrictions or allergies.
Since lunches are not included, your guide will suggest restaurants where the food is tasty and fresh in order not to get sick. However, if you have a particular restaurant in mind. Inform your guide to accommodate your choices. On the other hand, based on his experiences, he will be glad to assist you whether their service and meals are marvelous.
